Your Documents Are Secure and Confidential

Every document you upload, a birth certificate, a diploma, a medical record, a legal filing, contains personal information you didn't choose to make public. This page explains, in plain language, exactly how we protect it: how it's encrypted, who's allowed to see it, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, contact us through our contact page and we'll answer directly.

How We Protect Your Documents in Transit and at Rest

When you upload a document, the connection between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS (the same protocol your bank's website uses), so your file can't be intercepted in transit. Once received, your document is stored in encrypted form on our servers, not as a plain, readable file sitting in open storage. The same protection applies on the way back: your completed certified translation is delivered to you over an encrypted connection.

Who Can Actually See Your Document

Access to your document is limited to the people who need it to complete your order: the translator assigned to your document and the second linguist who checks it for accuracy, plus support staff only if you contact us about that specific order. Every translator and reviewer signs a confidentiality agreement before they're given system access, and that agreement applies to everything they see, regardless of what the document contains. We don't grant broad, standing access to our full document archive to anyone on the team; access is tied to the specific orders a person is actively working on.

Payment Information

Your payment is processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We don't store your full card number on our own servers, and our support staff can't view it either — only the last few digits, for order-verification purposes, the same way most online retailers operate.

How Long We Keep Your Documents (Data Retention)

After that window, both the original upload and the translation are automatically and permanently deleted from our active systems. Backup copies, kept only for disaster-recovery purposes, are purged on a rolling schedule and are never used to fulfill a new request.

Your Right to Request Deletion or a Copy of Your Data

You don't have to wait for the standard retention window to close. Use our contact page at any time to request that we delete your document and order records sooner, or to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you. We'll confirm once a deletion request is complete.

Third-Party Service Providers We Use

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run cloud translate, and we share data with them only as needed to deliver your order, never to sell or license it:

We do not sell your personal information or documents to data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party, for any purpose.

  • Supabase — stores your encrypted documents
  • Stripe — processes payment, PCI-compliant

If Something Goes Wrong

No system is perfectly immune to incidents, and we'd rather tell you plainly what happens if one occurs than pretend otherwise. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we'll notify affected clients promptly and in the manner required by applicable law, explain what happened, and explain what we're doing about it.
