Careers

We work with translators, project managers, and support specialists to deliver certified translations accurately and on time. Learn more about who we are, then see the role categories below.

Roles We Hire For

  • Translators

Independent-contractor translators working in a certified language pair, matched to projects by subject-matter background (legal, medical, technical, financial, academic). Most roles are fully remote.

  • Project Managers

Coordinate incoming orders, translator assignments, rush requests, and quality review, the connective tissue between a client's request and the linguist doing the work.

  • Support Specialists

Handle client questions about orders, pricing, turnaround, and requirements, the first point of contact for anyone using our services.

Specific current openings, when available, are listed with their own title, requirements, and application details rather than as a fixed list here, roles are filled on a rolling basis as project volume requires.

Why Work With Us

  • Most translator roles are fully remote.
  • Projects are assigned directly by subject-matter and language pair, rather than an open-bidding marketplace.
  • Every certified translation is reviewed by a second linguist, so the quality bar is shared, not carried by one person alone.
  • We review applications personally rather than relying solely on automated screening.

Application Process

  • Submit your application and relevant experience or samples for the role you're interested in.
  • We review applications personally; expect a response within 5-7 business days.
  • If it's a fit, we'll follow up with next steps specific to that role, which may include a sample translation, credential check, or interview.

A Note on Recruitment Scams

Apply only through this page or our official application channels. If someone contacts you through social media, a personal message, or a third-party site claiming to represent Cloud Translate and asks you to pay for training, equipment, software, or onboarding, that is not us, it's a common scam pattern targeting remote job seekers. We never ask candidates to pay to be hired.

    Frequently asked questions

Do you hire in-house staff, freelance translators, or both?

Both. Translators typically work with us as independent contractors assigned to projects in their certified language pair; project management and support roles are generally in-house or hybrid. Each open role states which arrangement applies.

    Can I work remotely?

Most translator roles are fully remote, you can work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection. Some in-house roles may be remote, hybrid, or location-specific, check the individual posting.

What qualifications do I need to apply as a translator?

We look for demonstrated translation experience in your language pair and subject-matter areas (legal, medical, technical, financial, or academic), and a sample translation or credential check is typically part of our review. Formal certification (like ATA certification) isn't required to apply, but relevant experience and accuracy are.

How long does the application process take?

We review applications personally rather than through automated screening alone; expect a response within 5-7 business days. Turnaround can vary with application volume.

How and when do translators get paid?

Payment terms are set out when you're onboarded for a specific role; see the individual posting or ask during the application process for specifics on schedule and method.

Is this posting from Cloud Translate, or could it be a scam?

Only apply through this page or our official application channels. If you're contacted about a Cloud Translate opportunity through social media, a personal message, or a site other than ours asking for payment or sensitive financial information upfront, treat it as a scam attempt. We don't ask candidates to pay for training, equipment, or onboarding.
